HALLAND LOVES

We are proud to be an active part of the Isle of Wight community and champion local brands, events and people. Here’s a blog of all the things The Halland loves…

The ‘Island Stories’ podcast

The Halland’s Harriet Hadfield hosts the popular Island Stories podcast - now in its third season - celebrating the incredibly inspiring people who live on this beautiful Island.

Working alongside Producer Alex Warren, Harriet has interviewed some big-name Islanders including DJ Rob da Bank; double-gold medalist Shirley Robertson; and Mountbatten CEO Nigel Hartley - a podcast interview about death, which was described as “strangely uplifting”.

Island Stems

Keeping in The Halland family, we are proud to support Island Stems - Island-grown flowers by Harriet’s sister Emily Waterhouse.

From Spring til the first frost, Emily delivers her ‘Friday flowers’ across the Island and we are always proud to display one of her latest arrangements at The Halland.

Nature’s Journey

Ex Liz Earle alumni Leighton founded this innovative skincare company in 2022, infusing beauty products with CBD to create the ultimate on-trend brand.

We love the products, the crisp branding and packaging - and are even stocking the aromatherapy candles in the shop.

Christmas at The Halland

We love the Christmas season and were proud to host the Friends of Nettlestone School Wreath-making classes, a star-making class and our Halland Glüewein with Tracy and the Carol Singers night - which was absolutely packed.
